Nebraska Unemployment Application

The national unemployment rate is on the increase, and many people are being laid off from their jobs all across the nation.  Nebraska residents who have been laid off from their job can submit a Nebraska unemployment application if they wish to receive temporary financial help while they are unemployed.  To be eligible for unemployment compensation in Nebraska, the individual must have lost their job through no fault of their own and be available for work at all times.

A Nebraska unemployment application can be filed online or by calling the unemployment claims center.  When filing the application online or if you chose to call the claims center, be prepared to give the following information:

Your previous employer’s complete name and address and the length of time you worked for them, including your starting date and lay off date.  If you had more than one job, you should give information for all previous employers you worked for during the last 18 months.
